The Post Office

There is a little post office in Great Stapelton.

It was built in 1919 by the then famous architect Sir George Posty. For many years people were using this kind of communication, but nowadways the number of customers is constantly going down due to the electronic media.

Well, people still know where to find the office, so they are able (and mostly willing) to help tourists.

In 1933 King George V visit the building and spent about fifteen minutes in there. This event is still commemorated by a local  fan club.
